It’s Sunday night and you start to get that niggly feeling about what your week ahead is going to look like…
Relax! You’re a click away from seeing exactly what’s in store.
Here’s five reasons why you’ll love the RTO Calendar from Cloud Assess.
1. Planning for Success
Busy Trainers and Assessors need to stick to a schedule in order to get in all the facets of their role. From Planning workshops, supporting students, delivering training and assessment there is a lot to do! With so many things going on, you may wonder when you’ll have time to mark.
With an RTO Calendar, you can make sure you leave enough time in your day to allocate to marking and being available for your students. Due dates appear in red, so you’ll be able to see what marking is required in advance. Book in an event with yourself so that your team knows not to book you in anywhere else.
If you are a Trainer and Assessor you can create a Post to your group of Learners at the beginning of the day, week or month and let your learners know when you are free and when you’ll be able to get back to them if they send you any messages.
2. Keep Track of Due Dates
Keeping an accurate and up-to-date calendar serves as the ultimate tool to drive progress. When your Learners enrol with your RTO, they can manage their study time around their work placements and assessment due dates. They’ll clearly see what is happening for their enrolment with colour coded due dates and events. Flexible to suit their requirements they can display their calendar in a range of views to keep them on track.
In addition to using the automation features, Workflows within Cloud Assess, that will send your Learners reminder emails of approaching due dates, you can also use the Posts or Messages features to remind your Learners about their upcoming due date.
3. Easily Demonstrate your Support and Progression
Clause 1.7 of the Standards for RTOs states:
The RTO determines the support needs of individual learners and provides access to the educational and support services necessary for the individual learner to meet the requirements of the training product as specified in training packages or VET [vocational education and training] accredited courses.
With the Calendar you can track attendance and refer back to your Learners record of attendance and clearly show how you have supported them along their journey.
In a recent webinar held by vetr for Digital Learning Day, ASQA’s Michele Dawkins went through some common complaints about “online”, it was notably around remote Support and Progression of Learners and access to Trainers and Assessors. ASQA advised that for RTOs to provide any remote learning, the same support should be accessible to that if they were onsite or in a face-to-face environment. A fit-for-purpose solution will give you the ability to manage this with ease.
Using the Learner’s Record of Attendance you can hold regular review meetings with the learner to make sure they are on track and if there is any future support or guidance required.
4. Ease Anxiety Levels
For busy Assessors with a full schedule to stick to, Calendar Views are the key! They help you easily see what you have across a month, a week, or a day, and you can even see your events in a list which provides you with your daily schedule at a glance.
Check your Calendar at the start of each month, week and day and always have it open so you know what’s up and coming.
5. Quickly See Availability
You may be an Administrator or Training Manager who needs to see availability of rooms, staff, etc. at a glance. With the RTO Calendar you can easily apply filters to your calendar so you can see what is happening, where and when, to make a judgement call on availability.
Save your views so it’s easy for next time!
In summary, there has never been a better time to get into using your RTO Calendar. It will keep you organised and in control of your workload, help you support and progress your students and ultimately keep you focused on maintaining compliance and an excellent student experience.
