60 Seconds with Chelsea, our Super Talented Product Manager

When you first chat with Chelsea you know you’ve just met a humble superstar. Chelsea Holland is the latest recruit to the Cloud Assess team and brings a wealth of experience from large organisations. She knows how to shape a product to meet the needs of the customers and does it all with a smile on her face. We fired 10 questions to Chelsea in 60 seconds…you’ll be surprised to know (spoiler alert) she doesn’t watch TV!!

1. Tell us about your role at Cloud Assess:

As a Product Manager, it’s my job to plan our product roadmap based on conversations with customers, internal teams, and trends in the industry. I get to research and shape the solutions you’ll see in Cloud Assess in the future.

2. What inspires you about Training and Assessment?

I think anyone in the training and assessment space is inspired by the ability to provide tangible growth opportunities to people by giving them tools to be more successful in their careers.

3. If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?

How to make clothes!! Prior to Covid, I was actually learning how to do this, but then my home office took over my sewing space. I haven’t been able to get back into it just yet!

4. What’s your favourite saying?

“Everybody has opinions but it doesn’t make them true” — perfect for a Product Manager who hears opinions all day, but needs to validate them before taking action.

5. What’s your favourite activity?

I love musical theatre! I perform, direct, choreograph and serve on the committee of a musical society in Sydney.

6. Who was your favourite teacher and why?

Although I was lucky to have many fantastic teachers, my childhood ballet teacher, Phyllis DeWeese, left a huge impression on my life. She taught generations of young women to be confident, hard-working, and graceful under pressure.

7. Tell us something that might surprise us about you:

I don’t subscribe to any streaming services and don’t watch TV. Instead, I read over 40 books every year.

8. What is Online Assessment to you?

It’s providing flexible and accessible opportunities for individuals to increase their knowledge and skills. In addition, it provides the perfect platform for managers and assessors to evaluate progression.

9. What’s your favourite feature in Cloud Assess?

I’m still too new to have one specific feature, but in general, I love the overall flexibility and how the system can work for both straightforward and extremely complex scenarios.

10. What’s the best thing about working for Cloud Assess?

The Cloud Assess team is extremely passionate and knowledgeable about the training industry and our customers. By understanding challenges and providing innovative solutions, the company has come a long way and is now growing exponentially. It’s such an exciting time to get involved!
