Meet Cloud Assessor Charles Kane

Self-driven, hard-working and super friendly, meet Charles Kane, one of the newest recruits on the Cloud Assess Partnerships team. Charles is a keen traveller and is committed to constantly upskilling and driven by his lifelong learning journey. We gave Charles 60 seconds to answer these 10 questions…here’s what we learnt:

1. Tell us about your role at Cloud Assess:

I work within the Cloud Assess Partnerships and Business Development Team. Two days are never the same but generally, I talk and listen a lot! I love getting to know all the potential clients and how Cloud Assess can help them achieve their training and assessment goals.

2. What inspires you about the Vocational Education and Training sector?

I am inspired by this industry as it’s so important to our economy and to people’s lives.

3. If you could learn to do anything, what would it be? 

My wife would approve of this answer – Dance.

4. If you could travel anywhere, where would it be?

Countries around the Adriatic Sea: Italy, Croatia, Albania, Greece.

5. What’s your favourite activity?

Whether it’s road tripping all over the United States, seeing the rock churches of Lalibella in Ethiopia, or passing through the grand bazaar in Istanbul; I love to travel along with embracing different customs and cultures all over the world.

6. What is your personal philosophy?

Nothing comes easy but smile along the way and live life to the fullest.

7. Tell us something that might surprise us about you:

I learned how to cook when I was stuck at home during COVID. This led to starting a herb garden, growing veggies, and planting some lemon/lime trees. My family still can’t believe I have a green thumb and my plants are thriving.

8. What is Online Assessment to you?

Online assessment has impacted my life in a plethora of ways. We may not realise but completing online assessments can be a daily task and it’s hard to appreciate how much work goes into the complexities of how they work. I really enjoy the flexibility they bring to anything I need to buy, learn or apply for.

9. What’s your favourite feature in Cloud Assess?

Two stand out:

I think our help centre speaks volumes about our customer care. Although we’re always striving to improve, it’s a point of difference as the team is always there to assist. We don’t use bots.

Also, the Cloud Assess app for your phone and tablet stands out when training for your boots-on-the-ground workforce. This feature is tailor-made to engage learners and allow them to get on with their learning and not have to worry about how to use the technology.

10. What’s the best thing about working for Cloud Assess?

It always seems cliche but honestly, I love 2 things, the people and the product.

I’ve embraced the Cloud Assess platform and firmly believe that it can help any organisation that requires training and assessment.

From the CEO, the managers, and my coworkers; I am constantly overwhelmed by their help and support in my first 2 months with the company. I am extremely grateful to go to work every day with a job that I love and am on my way to success with Cloud Assess.
